An installed eSIM profile is only one part of getting online. Your phone must use the intended data line, the plan must be valid in your location and its connection settings must match the package instructions. Keep the installed profile while checking.
Check the plan and destination first
Open your eSIM details and confirm the covered country, remaining allowance and validity. A package can be installed before reaching its supported network. If it worked and then stopped, check whether the data or validity ended before changing device settings.
Apply the selected plan’s connection settings
- Enable the travel eSIM and select it for mobile data.
- Apply the roaming setting listed for that eSIM and check your home line separately.
- Use the APN from its installation details if manual entry is required.
- Turn airplane mode on and off, then try a supported network manually where instructed.
- Test with Wi-Fi briefly off so you can tell which data connection is working.
If the connection still fails
Restart the device and try an area with stronger coverage. Record the device model, country, displayed error and the checks already completed when contacting support. Do not delete and rescan the eSIM as a first step: the installation code may be single-use.
Questions and answers
Does signal mean mobile data is working?
No. Network registration, remaining data, APN settings and the selected data line can still affect internet access.
Should I copy an APN found online?
Use the settings supplied for your actual package. Another plan’s APN may not apply.
