How do I use the number with WhatsApp?
Choose a number, then follow the steps in our WhatsApp verification guide. Keep access to the number for future account checks; WhatsApp applies its own verification rules.
Where do WhatsApp chats and media appear?
Your chats, photos and WhatsApp calls stay inside WhatsApp. Blacktel handles the SMS and ordinary phone calls sent to the rented number, including available verification messages.
Will renting a number change my existing WhatsApp account?
Renting a number in Blacktel does not change your WhatsApp settings. If you want to move an existing account to another number, use WhatsApp's change-number process and follow its account instructions.
Do I need a SIM card or a mobile data plan?
The Blacktel virtual number is managed online and does not require a physical SIM. WhatsApp uses Wi-Fi or your existing mobile internet connection; number rental does not include a data allowance.
How do I renew my WhatsApp SIM number?
Renew a prepaid number manually, or keep enough Blacktel credit for subscription renewal. Keep the number active for future verification and recovery messages, and check the remaining active time in your dashboard.
Can I use a number with WhatsApp Business?
WhatsApp Business requires a supported mobile or landline number under your control; its registration rules exclude VoIP numbers. Check the selected number's type against those rules before renting it. Business and Messenger need separate numbers when used together.
How do I receive a WhatsApp verification code by phone call?
When WhatsApp offers phone-call verification, request the call in the app. In Blacktel, open Recordings and listen to the incoming call for that number, then enter the spoken code in WhatsApp. Keep the number active for later account checks.
