Your travel connection depends on both the remaining data and the package’s validity period. Running out of either can stop access. Check the eSIM details before buying again so you choose a compatible top-up or the right replacement package.
Separate data allowance from validity
A plan can have unused data after its validity ends, or reach zero data before its final day. Review both values and the last usage update. Usage records may update after network activity, so also check the phone’s own data counter as an estimate.
Choose the next package
- Open the existing eSIM in your account and check whether top-ups are offered.
- Read the top-up’s coverage, allowance, validity and activation conditions.
- Confirm the price and complete the purchase with sufficient account credits.
- Keep the installed profile when the top-up is intended for that eSIM.
- If no compatible top-up is offered, choose a new suitable eSIM and follow its installation instructions.
Reconnect and plan the remaining trip
Follow the package instructions if the new allowance does not connect immediately. Check the selected data line, toggle airplane mode and restart if needed. Estimate your remaining travel days and usage, including hotspot sharing, rather than choosing only the lowest headline price.
Questions and answers
Can every eSIM be topped up?
Only where compatible top-ups are offered for the selected eSIM. Otherwise choose a new plan.
Does a top-up automatically extend the original package?
Read its own validity and start policy. Do not assume it changes or combines with the original package in a particular way.
